Happy Thanksgiving!

We've already celebrated one Thanksgiving, Canadian Thanksgiving, in October with some of our staff and co-workers that are from Canada. We went on a boat ride down the river and a Cambodian friend catered dinner. Of course it rained but we still had fun.

Some of our Canadian friends Lisa at the very right in the red shirt, and Dan in the white shirt facing the other direction.

This is not the boat we took, but we thought it was one massive boat that looked like a building on water!

Me with Elna the art teacher and Sreyroth one kindergarten teaching assistant!

We will soon be celebrating American Thanksgiving with our staff. We will have to celebrate it 3 days late because we do not get the holiday off. We will hopefully have all the traditional foods except the turkey, but chicken is just as good. Gideon will be making his family favorite cream corn to take. With Canadian Thanksgiving gone by and American Thanksgiving fast approaching we have lots to be thankful for. I thought we will get you a bit updated on our lives by sharing things we have been thankful for this past month.

We are thankful for.....................................................
1. God's protection and providence in our lives daily
2. God's encouragement through each other.
3. Our fun, loving, sometimes a handful students who continue to teach us as we try to teach them.
4. Our fun, loving, sometimes a handful teaching assistants who continue to teach us as we try to teach and work with them.
5. A so far healthy baby growing inside of me. I"m 15 weeks along, and baby is the size of an avocado.
6. The elementary soccer team tying their first game ever! What a self-esteem booster and a better attitude booster!
7. God's grace that gives us enough energy to get through the day even when we have morning sickness or a fever/headache that has lasted the last two days.
8. Water Festival Holiday- 3 days off a school to slow down, relax, heal from sickness, and get caught back up on work.
9. Air-con ( A/C)
10. Delivery food that doesn't cost any more than if you went to the restaurant and ordered.
11. Having family only 4 hours away by plane so that we can plan to spend Christmas with at least some of our family.
12. Our friends the Trotman's who got a moto tax sticker for us after ours was stolen off our moto. The government only sells them for a month and then says its your fault if you don't have one, the cops will stop you and give you a fine.
13. I am thankful for a husband who goes on long walks with me, and encourages me to go when I don't feel like it. And then let's me go to bed early. We've been on lots of walks this past month.
14. Each one of you who reads our blog, prays for us, cares for us and supports us.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING
